
Vivek Muthurangu is Professor of Cardiovascular Imaging and Physics at University College London and Head of the Research Department of Children’s Cardiovascular Disease and Deputy Director of the UCL Institute of Cardiovascular Science
Prof Muthurangu’s research revolves around the development of new imaging methodologies that allow for innovative assessment of children and adults with cardiovascular disease. During his time at UCL, he has built up a multi-disciplinary group of physicists, computer scientists and clinicians who have a proven track record of developing new technologies that have significant clinical impact.
Prof Muthurangu’s group have specific interests in the use of machine learning, CMR exercise stress imaging, CMR guided cardiac catheterization, and sophisticated interrogation of physiology.
