Dr Sonya Babu-Narayan is a consultant adult congenital heart disease cardiologist at Royal Brompton Hospital and Reader (Clinical Associate Professor) at Imperial College London and Clinical Director at the British Heart Foundation. She was awarded BSc in Neuroscience (First Class Honours) and her MB BS medical degree from University College London, a PhD in congenital heart disease from Imperial College London and an American Heart Association Outstanding Contribution to Paediatric Research award. She trained in congenital heart disease at Royal Brompton, The Heart and Great Ormond Street hospitals and is also accredited in cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR). Her research is related to heart failure and arrhythmia outcomes in ACHD. She has served as a peer reviewer, on editorial boards and on ethics committees and as Trustee of the Association of Medical Research Charities 2018-2024.
