Consultant since 2008 in "Pediatric and Adult Congenital Heart Disease Department" of "National Research Institute- Tuscany region Foundation G. Monasterio (Massa and Pisa, Italy)", a prestigious tertiary Italian Research Institute for the care of heart problems of all ages.
From 2017 he runs the pediatric and congenital echocardiography lab.
His main fields of interest are cardiac imaging and research.
He is author of more than 150 indexed articles, mainly as first author.
His main fields of research are normal echocardiographic values, new imaging techniques (speckle tracking strain imaging, 4D blood speckle tracking vortex imaging, 3d), sport cardiology, lung ultrasound, cardiac biomarkers.
He won more than 1 million Euro prizes in research projects.
He run cooperation with prestigious international Universities (John Hopkins, London, Cambridge, Gratz, etc)
He is an active member of AEPC (Association for European Paediatric and Congenital Cardiology), with roles in the Imaging Working Group
Member of ESC (European Society of Cardiology), EACVI (European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging), EACVI Congenital Task Member member.
