
Jesse Hansen, MD is Medical Director of Exercise Physiology and Assistant Professor of Pediatric Cardiology at C.S. Mott Children's Hospital, University of Michigan. His research focuses on exercise and physical activity interventions for children and young adults with congenital heart disease. He developed a telemedicine-based home exercise program (HEART Club) studying the impact of exercise on frailty and quality of life in individuals with Fontan circulation. Dr. Hansen is a founding member and leader of the Pediatric Exercise Data Analytics and Learning (PEDAL) Network, a multi-institutional consortium working to standardize exercise testing and enable collaborative research in pediatric cardiology. He serves as Co-Lead for the Fontan Outcomes Network's Physical Activity and Exercise Care Practice Project Team. His work has been supported by the NIH-Pediatric Heart Network and multiple philanthropic foundations.
