
Helena Roos is a Critical Care Nurse at the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit, Queen Silvia Children’s Hospital Gothenburg, Sweden and a PhD-student at the Institute for Health and Care Sciences, Sahlgrenska Academy at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden with nearly three decades of clinical experience in paediatric cardiology and paediatric intensive care nursing. Her clinical focus is on paediatric intensive care, simulation and resuscitation. Her PhD-project is a national project about Paediatric Basic Life-Support (PBLS) training for families to children with heart disease. The overall aim is to optimize PBLS practices and enhance outcomes for families with children at an increased risk of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest.
Helena Roos also has a long-standing experience as a trainer of Advanced Paediatric Life-Support and holds a position at the Swedish Resuscitation Council as an examiner of Paediatric Advanced Life-Support instructors. Furthermore, she is training families of children with underlying medical conditions in PBLS.
