Dr. Giancarlo Scognamiglio, MD, PhD, is a Consultant Cardiologist and Lead of the Imaging Program for Adult Congenital Heart Disease at Monaldi Hospital in Naples, Italy. His training focused on cardiac imaging and congenital heart disease, and he has authored chapters in five scientific books as well as more than 70 peer-reviewed publications.
Dr. Scognamiglio is Professor of Congenital Heart Disease in the Cardiology Specialty Training Program at the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli. He also serves as President-Elect of the Adult Congenital Heart Disease Working Group of the European Society of Cardiology for the 2026–2028 term
