
Professor Eric Rosenthal was appointed as a Consultant Paediatric & Adult Congenital Cardiologist at Guys & St Thomas NHS Trust, London in 1996 after undergoing full training in both adult and paediatric cardiology at Guys Hospital, London. He leads the Congenital Electrophysiology Service and is involved in all aspects of clinical cardiology including echocardiography, diagnostic & interventional catheterisation, electrophysiology testing, catheter ablation and pacemaker & defibrillator implantation, in children of all ages as well as in adults with congenital heart disease.
He regularly lectures on paediatric cardiology, interventional catheterisation, electrophysiology, radiofrequency ablation and pacemaker & defibrillator implantation and has written > 250 journal articles & chapters in textbooks of paediatric cardiology and interventional catheterisation.
His current research interests include covered stent correction of sinus venosus ASDs, pacemaker & defibrillator implantation in infants, children and complex congenital heart disease, fluoroless catheter ablation and the cardiac effects of ADHD medication.
