Professor Emanuela Valsangiacomo Buechel is director of the Pediatric Heart Centre of the University Children’s Hospital in Zurich, Switzerland. Her clinical activity is focused on Cardiac Imaging and on fetal cardiology.
She is very active in the research fields of clinical applications of novel CMR techniques in children with congenital heart disease. She has been a leading author in several joint consensus statement CMR papers, published more than 70 peer-reviewed scientific papers and has served as associated editor for the EACVI Textbook of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance.
Currently she is covering the position of deputy director of the European Examination and Accreditation Committee for congenital CMR of the EACVI. Moreover she is associated editor of the European Heart Journal – Cardiovascular Imaging. She has been serving the AEPC in different positions since more than 10 years.
E.Valsangiacomo is associated professor in Pediatric Cardiology at the University of Zürich (UZH) and at the University of Lugano (USI).
