Dr Elena Surkova is an Honorary Consultant Cardiologist with a special interest in Cardiovascular Imaging at Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals (London, UK), Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at Imperial College London, and a Senior Medical Director in Early Clinical Development at AstraZeneca. She holds a PhD degree in Cardiology and MSc degree in Health Economics. The main focus of her research is advanced echocardiography and cardiac magnetic resonance of the right heart, imaging in congenital heart disease, and cardiovascular imaging endpoints in clinical trials.
