Dr. Anwar Baban, MD PhD is a consultant in Clinical Genetics and Genomic Medicine (www.anwarbaban-genetics-precision.com/). Dr. Anwar focuses on integrating genetic programs into tailored, multidisciplinary plans of care for risk stratification and management of rare and genetic diseases, driven by the core objective of ensuring personalized approach care.
In May 2025, Dr. Anwar started a new chapter in her journey in Dubai, UAE, as the Head of Department for Clinical Molecular Genetics and Precision Medicine at Mediclinic MCME.
She is an Adjunct Clinical Professor at Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences MBRU, the coauthor of more than 100 pubmed indexed published articles, several book chapters, PI and active physician scientist for EU funded projects. She is a recognized member in different international professional societies, reviewer and editor of multiple pubmed indexed scientific Journals.
She spent her main professional life in two major hospitals in Italy: Gaslini Academic Institute in Genoa and Bambino Gesù Children's Hospital and Research Institute in Rome where she founded and led the Cardiogenetic Center.
