Education: Dr. Morgan completed his medical degree at the Queen’s University of Belfast in 1999. He grew up in Belfast, which he will always consider home, but left the city in 2003 to start formal training in Congenital Cardiology in the Bristol Royal Infirmary and Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. He completed his subspecialty training in Congenital Interventional Cardiology at the Hospital for Sick Children and Toronto General Hospital, Canada in 2010.

Experience: He has vast experience in congenital heart disease specialising in innovative interventional catheter therapies for congenital and structural disease from fetal life to adulthood. Dr Morgan has been a consultant/ attending in Interventional Cardiology in Bristol, Guys and St Thomas’ and Evelina Children’s Hospital and now at the University of Colorado.

Publications: More than 200 papers published in international peer-reviewed journals and more than 15 book chapters.

Invited Lectures: Dr Morgan is a frequent invited speaker at international conferences on paediatric and adult congenital heart disease. He is a Co- Director of the CSI Frankfurt meeting and Co-Director PICS-AICS as well as multiple other major interventional meetings around the world.

Editorial Experience: Associate Editor of Cardiology in the Young. Associate Editor of Paediatric Cardiology.

Education and Innovation: Dr Morgan has been involved in the re-organisation, oversight and design of undergraduate and postgraduate training programs throughout his career and currently oversees one of the most highly successful Congenital Interventional fellowships in the USA. He is listed as an inventor on 4 US patents related to medical device development, and is the national PI and local PI on numerous interventional studies.
