
Jef Van den Eynde, MD is an Internal Medicine resident and PhD researcher at KU Leuven, Belgium, affiliated with the Department of Cardiovascular Sciences. His research focuses on advanced cardiovascular physiology, with a particular interest in congenital heart disease and the Fontan circulation.
He developed a strong interest in research early during his medical training and has since gained experience across a wide range of methodologies, from translational laboratory work to clinical studies. In 2021, he was a Research Fellow at Johns Hopkins Hospital (USA).
Dr. Van den Eynde has authored more than 230 peer-reviewed publications and is actively involved in the international scientific community as a reviewer, editor, and invited speaker at major conferences. His work aims to bridge clinical practice and innovation, with a focus on improving outcomes for patients with complex cardiovascular disease.
