Dr. Markus Schwerzmann is Associate Professor at the University of Ottawa and Adjunct Researcher at the University of Bern. He leads the ACHD Program, co-leads Cardiac Imaging at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute and is a staff member of the Pulmonary Hypertension Program. His research explores clinical outcomes in ACHD, the failing right ventricle, strategies to improve transition from pediatric to adult care, and care approaches in serious illness or at the end-of-life. He is a board member of the Canadian Adult Congenital Heart Network and co-author of the 2020 ESC Guidelines on ACHD.
