Prof. Biagio Castaldi, MD, PhD

Prof. Biagio Castaldi is Associate Professor of Pediatric Cardiology at the University of Padova and Lead of the Pediatric Catheterization Laboratory. He is Past Treasurer and current President-Elect of the Italian Society of Pediatric Cardiology (SICP), and former Junior Member of the AEPC Interventional Working Group. He is an experienced interventional pediatric cardiologist with specific expertise in multimodality imaging, congenital and pediatric heart failure, pulmonary arterial hypertension, and transcatheter therapies. He has been actively involved in international multicenter studies and clinical trials in pediatric cardiology, contributing to the development and evaluation of innovative interventional strategies and novel devices for congenital heart disease. Prof. Castaldi has an h-index of 22 and is author of more than 150 peer-reviewed publications and over 20 book chapters. His activity reflects a strong commitment to advancing interventional and translational research, as well as to scientific leadership within the international congenital cardiology community.
